A Look Back: Addressing COVID-19 and the Challenges of 2020

2020 was…quite a year. The global coronavirus pandemic up-ended the Aircuity world – as it did for pretty much everybody else on the planet. Many of our staff pivoted to remote work while others were deemed essential and continued to recalibrate sensors and assemble systems for our customers  (that include research labs and hospitals) at a time when healthy air was more critical than ever. We also took it as an opportunity to refocus on core priorities, increase customer value and make improvements in many areas.

Among other accomplishments, our team achieved the following milestones in 2020:

  • Made a significant investment in platform improvements, with several releases during the year and another important one in December.
  • Lowered our total delivered cost while enhancing value with several new healthy building analytics and new ventilation control algorithms to optimize our clients’ ventilation strategy.
  • Added staff to support our existing customers and partners.
  • Launched a new procurement methodology – Air Quality as a Service (“AQaaS”) which can aid in the speed and ease of implementing Air Quality improvements (not just Aircuity, but a comprehensive, solutions base strategy).

Now more than ever the world has become aware of what we have been doing for the last 20 years –delivering accurate ventilation for healthy sustainable buildings. Healthy buildings are here to stay and COVID 19 is an example of why they matter, but it is not the reason – healthy people are!

We are already underway in 2021, and we look forward to supporting our clients’ healthy and efficient building needs over this next decade and beyond.

Stay Well!
