Aircuity, the smart airside efficiency company, today announced that Founder and Chairman, Gordon Sharp, has been named Executive Vice President of the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL). This appointment comes after helping direct I2SL towards its mission and goals for over five years as a board member.
As Executive Vice President, one of Gordon’s largest tasks will be to promote I2SL’s international role to advance sustainability in labs outside the United States. He will also be helping to develop relationships and foster country and region based lab sustainability organizations, along with assisting in the creation of unique knowledge based products that I2SL can promote both in the United States and abroad.
From speaking at both I2SL workshops and webinars, to being active internationally promoting I2SL to international lab audiences and to other lab organizations in Europe, Gordon has been an active board member focused on helping drive I2SL towards its goals. Additionally Gordon has been a speaker for many international programs involving or referencing I2SL in such countries as Germany, Spain, Egypt, the United Kingdom and Singapore.
“Gordon has been a very active board member and is instrumental in promoting I2SL internationally, freely offering his time and energy to build and support a number of key I2SL initiatives,” said Phil Wirdzek, President and Executive Director of I2SL. “Recognizing his commitment and contributions, he was nominated and unanimously voted to be the next Executive Vice President of I2SL. I am pleased to have Gordon as an officer of this organization.”
