Leadership

  • Dan Diehl CEO & President

    Dan brings over twenty-five years of industry expertise across a wide variety of vertical markets and disciplines in commercial and light industrial building markets. Prior to Aircuity Dan led business development at Lutron Electronics, was a partner for six years with Synergy and spent 11 years at Johnson Controls, Inc.

    Mr. Diehl earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and has an MBA from Villanova University.

  • Tom Kolsun Vice President, OEM & Government

    Tom joined Aircuity in 2009 and has 25+ years of experience in the building industry focused on systems serving commercial facilities. Prior to joining Aircuity, he had over 15 years of wide-ranging entrepreneurial experience in the commercial construction field as founder and president of two technology related companies.

    Tom has a Bachelor’s from University of Maryland and an MBA from Pace University.

  • Jay Kress Vice President, Channel Sales

    With over 30 years of controls experience, Jay’s expertise ranges from chemical process control to designing and selling HVAC and control systems. He holds a BS Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology

  • Sarah Callahan Vice President, Marketing & Communications

    Sarah has over 18 years of experience in the field of marketing and holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Bryant University.

  • Brian Murphy Director of Sales and Services Operations

    Brian has been with Aircuity for over 15 years with 16 years of prior experience in Lab Controls at Phoenix Controls Corp. as the Manager of Technical Services.

    Mr. Murphy has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University.

  • Walter King Director

    Walt is has spent nearly 10 years in the building controls industry and specializes in lab airside optimization programs. He has spent 10 years with Aircuity and specializes in decarbonization programs for research and higher education facilities.

    Walt has a B.S. and B.A. from Carnegie Melon University.

  • Patrick Kelly Director, Life Science Solutions

    Patrick currently serves as Aircuity’s Director of Life Science Solutions. Prior to joining Aircuity, Pat has held leadership roles across a number of SaaS, Cleantech and Cybersecurity technology companies.

    Pat holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova and an MBA from Saint Joseph’s University.

  • Joe DiPlacido Chief Accounting Officer

    Joe serves as Aircuity’s Chief Account Officer. He has over 25 years of accounting and finance leadership experience along with being a CPA. Joe has a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Drexel University and an MBA in Finance from Saint Joseph’s University.

  • Gordon Sharp Advisor

    Gordon Sharp has over 25 years of wide-ranging entrepreneurial experience and more than 25 U.S. patents in the fields of energy efficiency and laboratory controls. As founder of Phoenix Controls, he led the development of this world leader in laboratory airflow controls that was acquired by Honeywell in 1998. In 2000, Gordon founded Aircuity, which was spun out of Honeywell. He currently serves as president of the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories and is a member of the ANSI Z9.5 Laboratory Ventilation Committee.

    Mr. Sharp is a graduate of MIT with bachelors and masters degrees in electrical engineering.
