Dan Diehl CEO & President
Dan brings over twenty-five years of industry expertise across a wide variety of vertical markets and disciplines in commercial and light industrial building markets. Prior to Aircuity Dan led business development at Lutron Electronics, was a partner for six years with Synergy and spent 11 years at Johnson Controls, Inc.
Mr. Diehl earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and has an MBA from Villanova University.
Gordon Sharp Chairman & Founder
Gordon Sharp has over 25 years of wide-ranging entrepreneurial experience and more than 25 U.S. patents in the fields of energy efficiency and laboratory controls. As founder of Phoenix Controls, he led the development of this world leader in laboratory airflow controls that was acquired by Honeywell in 1998. In 2000, Gordon founded Aircuity, which was spun out of Honeywell. He is a member of the board of directors of the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories and a member of the ANSI Z9.5 Laboratory Ventilation Committee.
Mr. Sharp is a graduate of MIT with bachelors and masters degrees in electrical engineering.
Luca Mazzei Chief Growth Officer
Luca Mazzei has in-depth knowledge of IoT and a proven track record of driving company growth. Mazzei previously held the position of Chief Growth Officer at John Crane, acted as a Board Advisor at Daintree Networks and has mentored clean-tech portfolio companies in both the smart grid and energy efficiency spaces. Most recently he served as an Advisory Partner at Momenta Partners where he guided connected industry companies through a digital transformation.
Mr. Mazzei earned a MS degree in Aeronautics & Astronautics, MS in Mathematics and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
Pete Hmelyar Vice President, Sales
Peter Hmelyar joined Aircuity in November 2000 and has over 35 years of sales management experience in the building and laboratory controls businesses. Prior to Aircuity Mr. Hmelyar spent 10 years at Phoenix Controls in various positions of sales management including their VP of Global Sales with responsibility for all of their sales activities.
Mr. Hmelyar holds a BSME from the University of Akron.
Tom Nasti Vice President, Operations
Tom Nasti brings over 15 years of operations and management experience. Prior to joining Aircuity, Tom spent nearly 10 years with Sensata Technologies, a global organization which designs and manufactures sensing solutions across automotive and industrial applications. There he led divisional Operations and Program Management teams following various previous roles.
Tom has a BE in Electrical Engineering and Computers from SUNY Stony Brook and an MBA in Supply Chain Management from Lehigh University.
Tom Kolsun Vice President, OEM
Tom joined Aircuity in 2009 and has 25+ years of experience in the building industry focused on systems serving commercial facilities. Prior to joining Aircuity, he had over 15 years of wide-ranging entrepreneurial experience in the commercial construction field as founder and president of two technology related companies.
